As October arrives, the leaves are turning red, its getting colder and halloween is just round the corner! It's time to put up the decorations, prepare your costumes and... cook some spooky fictional food! What better way to impress your party guests than with some scarily delicious food from everyone's favorite halloween films and tv shows? Here are 8 dishes that are to-die-for this season:

1.Worm wort’s soup (nightmare before christmas)

ree

Dr finkelstein’s favorite supper, this deviously green broth is made with Frog’s breath, worm’s wort and the deadly nightshade. In this halloween classic, Sally cleverly used a slotted spoon to trick Dr finkelstein into drinking the soup so she could escape. If you were to make this at home, we’re sure it’ll leave your guests wide awake wanting more!

2.Scream cheese (hotel transylvania)

ree

Served atop a bagel, this screaming white cheese sauce in Hotel transylvania has captured many of our hearts with its frighteningly adorable appearance. Who wouldn’t want to take a bite out of this mountain-shaped, sentient scream cheese that keeps screaming until you eat it?

3.Split pea soup (the exorcist)

ree

Who can forget the most memorable scene in the exorcist where Regan responded with a spray of sticky, green vomit in Father Karras’ face when asked about his mother’s maiden name? Director William Friedkin revealed that this mixture was not in fact split pea soup, but actually porridge with pea soup coloring. However, the former has stuck with the film’s fans, and you can recreate your own delicious version of this green bile this halloween!

4.Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (Five nights at Freddy's)

ree

If any food were to come to mind when you think of five nights at freddy’s, it would most definitely be the infamous freddy fazbear’s pizza. While we can’t guarantee that you’ll survive the violent nights in Freddy’s pizzeria, you can definitely enjoy this pizza with your loved ones from the comfort of your own home!

5.Shrimp cocktail (Beetlejuice)

ree

Bettlejuice… Beetlejuice… Beetlejuice!!! The sequel to Beetlejuice recently dropped, so its time to revisit this classic moment in the original where the shrimp cocktail aggressively grabs everyone’s faces and shoves them on the floor! You should probably keep an eye on your shrimp while enjoying it though…

6.Cheeseburger (The Menu)

ree

The menu is a relatively new addition to fantastic horror films, but this cheeseburger has not left my mind since I’ve watched it. If I were Margot, I would have demanded to eat the same dish simply because of the way she savored every bite of it both in the restaurant and as she watched Hawthorn burn to ruins.

7.Clay roasted thigh (Hannibal)

ree

In the episode “Futamono” of Hannibal, Hannibal is seen preparing an elaborate roast with lotus leaf and clay. We’re definitely not going to be carving Gideon’s leg to eat this holiday, but some chicken or pork would make a terrifyingly tasty replacement.

8.Pilgrim world fudge (Wednesday)

ree

Wednesday is forced to be a tour guide in Pilgrim World, and this duty includes selling a variety of delectable looking fudge. It won’t be “authentic” pilgrim fudge, but this sweet treat will surely be a great way to end off your spook-tastic night.
